Appliance?

i just got the appliance for my braces and i cant talk or swallow i feel like im retarded and wats worse is i have a bf and i dont want to kiss him cuz its ugly and huge and takes up all of my mouth and has spit in it. please help me|||You aren't the first or last person to have one.
