Appliance?

i just got the appliance for my braces and i cant talk or swallow i feel like im retarded and wats worse is i have a bf and i dont want to kiss him cuz its ugly and huge and takes up all of my mouth and has spit in it. please help me|||It depends on what appliance you have..If you have an expander..sorry to say, but it dosent get better. I had an appliance in my mouth called the herbst device..If you have that, you'lll adjust eventually....Maybe in a week?
