In a country with 220V, failed to see it didn't have universal voltage, and blew the fuse on my US 110V appliance. Can I get it fixed, will it be expensive, or is it beyond hope? It's a sound therapy sleepmate thing.|||If it was the fuse, you can get it fixed relatively easily and cheaply.
However, it is likely that it was not the fuse - because the voltage is not stopped by the fuse, only the current.
hence, the chances are that your transformer inside the device is fried.
just have the fuse checked - you can do this yourself or get someone to do it. If the fuse looks unbroken and the glass is clear, then it is liekly the device is fried.|||If its only a fuse then that can be replaced, but if it's something more then it probably cannot be repaired...I had a radio that I did that to and I got it to work for about 30 seconds and it died forever after that...
