How many joules is used in one hour for a 1600 watt appliance?

i had a question like this for my science hw but the teacher didnt explain. the question was to find out how many joules the particular appliance (i used an iron) used in one hour. if my iron is 1600 watts and 1 watt is 1 joule in 1 second.... how many joules is used in that one hour.... i know its very confusing but i need to know.. thank you|||1 watt second = 1 joule

since there are 3600 seconds in every hour, then

1 watt hour = 1 joule * 3600 seconds = 3600 joules

therefore

1600 watt hours = 3600 joules * 1600 watts = 5,760,000 joules
