What is this Appliance that measures water clarity?

I need to know what the name of this appliance is. It looks like a plastic tube. You measure water clarity by dipping it in the water pulling it out and looking through the top until the water reaches a level you can see the bottom through. It is not a secchi disk.|||You want a turbidimeter, which measures the turbidity of a liquid. Turbidity determines clarity.

A xanthometer measures the color of water, which is also clarity, which is even being used by satellites to measure water clarity.|||Perhaps you mean a nephelometer (sometimes also called a turbidimeter)?
