How do you relieve soreness from an oral expander appliance?

i have an expander appliance in my mouth because it's one of the procedures to getting braces done. i have un bearable soreness and tis so hard to eat.|||unfortunately the only way is to stop wearing it.... and you don't want to do that because your teeth won't look that great when you're done.





Fortunately the pain stops when the teeth have finished moving. so the more you tighten it the more it hurts... self explanatory really. You'll just have to cope by eating soft foods. try rinsing with warm water, although i think that will have a fairly minimal effect.|||You can take Tylenol or Ibuprofen and use Orajel.
