Can an Upper Dental Appliance be made to fit if I still have 6 natural front teeth?

My dental plate is made of acrylic. It is uncomfortable. My dentist said that to do a proper job I would have to go to a specialist. It would be very expensive. I think a simple appliance made in a more comfortable material would suffice.|||Keep in mind that with any sort of dental appliance you will always be aware that you have it. There is no way to make it fit so perfectly that you don't feel it anymore. And to answer your question, yes, an upper partial denture can be made to fit if you still have 6 natural front teeth. Going to a specialist will definitely increase your chances of getting a denture that fits better. Usually it takes a couple of months for you to get accustomed to the new denture and you might require a couple of appointments to make proper adjustments. Hope this answered your question. Let me know if you have any more questions.
