What large machine or appliance uses electromagnetism to operate?

Also, many devices use transformers, transisters and resistors to convert voltge to different values in order for current to be used by all the circuitry components.

I need my machine/appliance to have a voltage change as well.

please help!!! thanks so much in advance|||Any machine that uses an electric motor in your house uses electromagnetism. The biggest would be your air conditioner followed by your wash machine and refrigerator.

Electric motors operate by a electromagnet that "chases" another opposite pole magnet in an infinite circle chase by switching magnets on and off through the revolution

All motors have a voltage change, which just means power was used up in the motor and less voltage is available after running thru it than

before the voltage entered into it

In the control panel of a washer is resistors and capacitors to give more voltage to help start the motor and resistors to vary voltage for the timers and operate valves and such to control the wash cycle. Same with the air conditioner%26amp; refrig|||Sorry i'm too stupid for that. You just bust my head.|||A Rail Gun uses electromagnets in order to fire. the amount of voltage varies on the charging time or size of the gun.
